Managing Director, Head of Creative
Faraz Osman has over 15 years experience in TV, online and media production, working across International Emmy, BAFTA, BIMA and Broadcast award winning content for broadcasters and brands.
He devised the creative and Exec Produced BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards, Disney Channel Access All Areas: Unlocked!, Channel 4's Two Players, Shell's Reverse Engineers, Vevo's Tastemakers, Red Bull's Culture Clash, the Apple Music Festival and Beats 1 Radio (video). He also Exec Produced two series of the award winning music and culture show, Four To The Floor.
Previously Faraz was Editor of Education at Channel 4, commissioning the Emmy award winning Battlefront, E4's highest rated documentary "Don't Blame Facebook" and working with UK Parliament to deliver SB:TV’s groundbreaking DB8.
Faraz sits on the board at the BAFTA Children's Committee, lectures at Goldsmiths College, University of London, is part of Ravensbourne College Media advisory committee, a judge for BAFTA and Broadcast Magazine and a speaker for Sheffield Docfest, Children's Media Conference, Edinburgh TV Festival and the European Broadcast Union. He is also a regular media commentator for The Guardian, Broadcast Magazine and The Media Podcast.
In 2018, Faraz set up Gold Wala - a new creative agency working on innovate formats that break the mould for broadcasters, brands and content platforms.
Head of Production
Jess has vast experience in production management, working on Grammy nominated video content and helming projects for Apple, Sony, Skype, Red Bull, Box TV and many more. As well as television productions for the BBC, ITV, MTV and Channel 4, she has helped bring to life the global live performances of The Rolling Stones, Sting, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Artic Monkeys, Kylie and Tinie Tempah
Jess is skilled at building an international client base and has nurtured a diverse and agile production team to deliver award winning content.
As part of Gold Wala, Jess brings her wealth of experience and unparalleled contacts to provide end-to-end production solutions that help execute projects to the highest possible standard. In addition, she manages the regional Bristol office and our international teams, as well as Gold Wala’s post-production house.
Jess also handcrafts bespoke gold jewellery.
Head of Development
Dee Kahlon joined Gold Wala as Head Of Development. Her previous shows include the EMMY award winning Brat Camp, RTS winning Murder of Sadie Hartley, Gareth Malone's Extraordinary School For Boys, My Monkey Baby and the BAFTA nominated, Grierson Award winning Kingdom Of Us.
Her passion is born from a desire to uncover amazing stories and represent unique voices. Dee's solid background in production guarantees a keen eye for ideas that work on screen keep viewers hooked from title sequence to closing credits.
